Was yesterday National Flag Day?
The Refs sure seemed to think so all over the country.

Regarding the game, we should have won, but it seemed like the Dolphins weren’t really in it right from the beginning and I wonder if Tua would have made a lot of difference.

I’m really happy with how the new modern day Offense is progressing. There will probably be som setbacks along the way but the trend is good.
Instead of lining up in only a limited number of formations, we see the WRs playing in different spots, running in patterns, TEs being used as pass catchers, taking advantage of the opposing Defense’s scheme liabilities, using the RBs in the pass game, pressing the edges in run plays with K9, planned roll outs for Geno (not RPO), taking what the Defense is giving and more.
If we had this type of Offense in 2014 we could have won multiple SBs.
The only thing holding the Offense back is the OL but maybe with more games it will improve.

That's good to hear. Northhawk. So the offense is more complex than prior. Mike seems like he is less hands on with the offense than Pete, which is a good thing. You want to get a good OC and let them do their thing in my opinion unless you truly know how to manage an offense.

I think this is a testament of how well prepared Ryan Grubb is in this league for being a first time NFL OC. I know it has been three games, but I think it has been a massive improvement from years past OCs. Grubb is clearly aware that we have a sub performing O-Line, and has to work around it. The short passing game with up tempo offense is allowing Geno to get the ball quick and avoid sacks. With the o-line's inability to pass protect very well, it's hard to dial up deep passing routes at this time as they take longer to develop, unless of course our o-line holds, which we get flagged for quite a bit. With Pete having so much of an influence over past OCs, I think it became a case of trying to shove the square block in the round circle hole, and it was painful to watch with the same style offense year after year no matter if it was Bevell, Schottenheimer, or Waldron. There was no creativity what so ever. Grubb has done a great job, and I still feel like our offense hasn't hit it's ceiling yet, and may not anytime soon with how bad this o-line has been. So he is working quite well with what he has to work with.

I was encouraged by what I saw from Zach Charbonnet. He was picking his holes better, had some hops to him and showed a edge speed at times.
