Note: ET would of done the same and tried to stay inbounds, too...

This whole season seems like a repeat of the infamous Beastquake year. We had no business being the playoffs, and winning.... it cost us 10 spots in the draft that year and along with Denver winning today, we lost 10 total spots from 2 weeks ago. Do we think we can go South and win at Santa Clara?

I thought exactly the same thing about Rodger's balloon ball, a carbon copy of Mayfield's. Not that those were the only critical plays, but it's ironic that those two combined to get us into the playoffs. I loved watching the Weird Beard losing on a play like that.

There was a lot of bad quarterbacking yesterday. Dak Prescott was horrible as the Cowboys did a complete face plant to a team with nothing to play for but pride and started their backup quarterback. If they go one and done, I can see Jerry Jones firing McCarthy and entering the Sean Payton sweepstakes. The Marlins beat the Mets 11-6, with no TD's being scored. Sam Darnold was 5-15 with two INT's in a winning effort against the Saints. Deshaun Watson threw two picks. The GOAT had 84 yards of passing offense.

I didn't get Diggs not trying to stay in bounds as he seemed more interested in taunting the Rams sideline, another no-call that we got away with.

It doesn't require great athletic skill. Pete and the staff need to get on his butt about that and pull him when they don't see effort.

Yeah, K9 sure hung Lockett out to dry, just like you said, he didn't seem to even care. And I don't like his tendency to get cute in short yardage situations. On one play inside the 10, he had a clear path to a first down but decided to bounce it outside. I'd much rather have Dallas in there on 3rd down. Walker is a two down back. But he's great on those two downs. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Stream Hawk wrote:Good point, river. Walker was very frustrating. Getting stuffed at the goal line. Although, maybe that is more of a testament to our lack of beef in the middle of the line. Hopefully that is addressed in the second round. The guy does have some serious ceiling - could be our best RB ever. I’m not willing to write off Penny yet.

Geno was very frustrating today for the most part. His OT performance was legit. Running when needed, and making some nice tosses. I am OK with offering him a two-year extension.

I am also cautiously optimistic. That 5th pick better be correct! It’ll be fun few months leading to draft.

Walker is a real talented head case . I still remember him yelling at Geno on the sidelines after blowing a block getting Geno laid out . Then he left the field and didn’t return for 2 games . He’s still not practicing much . Nobody’s perfect . I’m absolutely ready to give Penny a spot if he comes all the way back . His talent is unquestioned and he would be cheap .
Not totally sure what was up with Geno down the stretch . Hit too much ? Lousy weather late season games ?Might be the simple answer when you look at how some of the quarterbacks around the league played . But he holds 4 Seahawks single season records now, attempts yards and completions % . Only guy not named Russ to throw 30 TDs . Not shabby .

Pete was talking in circles about the position in a generic sense, talking about the system , as a certain poster has noticed putting in a plug for Drew Lock almost every time he discuses the position . Don’t sleep on Drew like you all did on Geno . Geno said post game football is a business and he has to take care of his business. Tyler said he thinks Geno has been great and he wants him back . It was Locketts best year in 3 seasons.

We have an extra curricular off campus test in California and we may need that and hopefully another test before deciding what to do with lots of things .

I saw what has to be the stupidest PF penalty ever in last night's Packers-Lions game. After holding the Lions to a 2-yard gain that would have brought up 2nd and 8 from the 9 with the Packers leading by 3 with 8 minutes left in the game, Packers LB Quay Walker pushes a trainer that was trying to assist an injured Lions player, drawing a half the distance to the goal line penalty and a first down on the 4. After several more attempts, the Lions finally punch it in for the go-ahead TD and the final scoring play of the game.

Especially in light of what we all saw just 6 days earlier, he pushes a trainer whose only offense was that he was trying to get to an injured player? That ought to be the last NFL game that man ever sees.

Coolest thing I saw in last nights game, besides the Lions win of course, was an actual Hook-N-Ladder! Ain't seen one of those since the 70's!

Yeah, Lady Luck was shining on us yesterday. And that wasn't the only wild thing that happened yesterday. In the first 15 seconds of their first game since their teammate nearly lost his life, the Bills run back the opening kickoff for a touchdown in their home stadium? Talk about karma!

So much for the Referees conspiring against us. We had at least 2 critical calls go our way.

Plus they overlooked Diggs' taunting the Rams sideline after an interception and Metcalf jabbing his finger into Jalen Ramsey's facemask. So much for the refs having something for Metcalf. Hawktawk's conspiracy theories took a big hit. The Air Force must have kept all the anti-Hawks refs at Area 51 this weekend.

We’ve had enough bad calls , no calls , picked up flags to have flipped a game or 2 .

My theories have nothing to do with a ref actually calling a fair even game which happens most of the time . I’m not going to apologize if we get a bad or missed call go our way .

Nor will I scream if there’s a missed call that hurts us . It’s intentionally overlooking an obvious foul or calling a non foul intentionally that’s the problem . It happened in the commanders game . It happened to Seattle a couple times .
XL was the gold standard and now there’s a bookie on the record about a gambling ref .

Riv if you want to be a rube have at it . This has nothing to do with Area 51 or a stolen election . I wanna know who the ref in XL was .

But I get it . You are ok if they took away our first super bowl
. Not me.
