[quote="TriCitySam"]Certainly been some draft failures, and that is the area that needs the most attention. However, virtually EVERY franchise has down years and needs to reset Belechick went 7-9; John Harbaugh went 5-11 (along with other very unimpressive years) - in a league of salary cap and parity you can't avoid it. That's why a 10 year run of winning football is so impressive. As to the fans crowing about throwing everybody out, they would howl to high heaven if they followed any other franchise. Foolish.[quote]

So are you an advocate of keeping it together ? Harbaugh hasn’t won squat since 2012. It makes my point . Belichick is such an outlier . He’s turned over the entire roster numerous times and had one down year minus Brady and here he comes . He understands personell and is a superior motivator and x and o guy.

But here in Seattle we’ve won one playoff game in 5 years and this version is in free fall . Beyond physical issues the qb seems to have lost something . The cupboard is bare draft pick wise . You comfortable with the status quo???

I feel like Holmgrens last year . That worked out OK.

The more I read about how teams manage the Cap, a big salary doesn't matter much.
KC has 2 players on $100M + contracts - Clark at $104M and Mahomes at $145M as well as Mathieu at $45M. but they've structured those contracts
in such a way that the Cap hits are small and they have voidable years so they can be renegotiated to keep the Cap hits low. In the mean time
the NFL has made the suggestion that the current Cap will increase by $25.5M this year.

So it's really not one or two players with large salaries, but rather how those contracts are managed. If done right, we could easily afford a new
contract for Russ, DK, and keep Wags happy. But they have to manage those contracts correctly. Our problem of the last few years is they didn't
structure them in such a way as to keep the Cap space large enough to pay FA's. And that's on our mgmt.

Yeah but now he’s gone and they are 8-4 and maybe hosting in the AFC 2 years after letting the goat walk. There’s Bill and there’s everyone else . Pc is not Bill. Imo Bill would have traded Wilson , for sure after the stunt he pulled last offseason . He doesn’t put up with divas .
