Actually his mother got tired of hearing that stuff when her son was in Pee Wee, so when a guy asked why she married a Pro Football player being an athlete herself, she said it was so she could breed white kids that played like black players!! You have to be careful but that was a great joke.

It's been my experience that if you need to be told it was a great joke; it wasn't.

Yeah maybe to a degree. The stereotyping may begin in pee wee. Maybe its just the reality somewhat. I know I heard McCaffrey called the "white kid" and no biggie but that kid is amazing playing the very best competition the College has to offer and hes put up 3 or 4 games that nobody else ever did more than once and most never. And there's been lots of great guys.If hes white Russ is short or something like that...

He got screwed out of the Heisman, Its not the best running back, its the best player. The award is a joke, sorry.
Hell I aint trying to start nothing. We know these guys are all studs so to me its weird more white guys dont line up behind the QB anymore. Riggo is an all time favorite, obviously Czonk. Craig James. I'm having trouble coming up with very many current names.Hillis a couple of years ago. Hayne in SF is a stud if he didn't fumble. As for receivers there are plenty these days. Nelson in GB and the seemingly never ending parade of white smurfs through NE. Ill be P Od if NE gets him as was stated he would be awesome in that scheme.

He's kind of like the guy who is (or was) on the Chiefs squad - McCasker (I think that's his name) or a bit like Austin of the Rams.
He's one of those types who could excel almost anywhere, but might never settle in one position to really learn that trade and thus not be the game changer at a single position we would think. He sure is fun to watch, though.

That's true. McCaffrey would thrive in a role like Julian Edelman does with the Pats.

But it's not going to be a real high profile career to the same degree that his college career has gone. IMO McCaffrey ends up much like Reggie Bush did, not a really a bust but simply with skills that didn't translate well to the next level.

IF We were to ask every Hawks fan at the beginning of the year would 9-7 be their prediction, I would venture to say that none of us would have had us that low. IF after a 4-5 start would we be happy to have gone 5-2 yes, the glass is half full. (BTW No doubt I am calling next week a loss

Great call..

Oh, don't worry, HC- he now says there's *no way* we'll even have a lead against them if we play again.
