If somehow they lose there will probably be a line of fans ready to leap off the Golden Gate Bridge

But I'm not a betting man for one. For another they looked downright human vs the Cards and their mobile QB. Our offense can score on pretty much anyone. Its prime time. All the pressure is on them. If we play our game and dont turn it over this can be done. I see 26-17 Hawks

RiverDog wrote:The Rams are falling off a cliff? They're 5-3, one game behind us with 8 games remaining. Both us and the Niners have the toughest part of our schedules remaining as the Niners have to play us twice, along with the Rams once, and the Saints, Ravens, and Packers, not to mention that they play the Cards, a team that nearly beat them last week, after they play us. It doesn't require very much of an imagination to see the Rams winning this division.
We're only halfway through the regular season. A lot can change between now and New Year's.

Want Niners to demolish the Niners and INT Russ 4 times and sack him 6 times and hang a 50 burger
On the other hand you need to win so the Rams can cruise up toward the NFC championship easier
Rams are looking great now after a bump
So you want the Niners to demolish the Niners? Somehow that phrase fits you like a glove. Stupid is as stupid does.

With prime time RW taking snaps, I think that goes closer to the 9ers winning 6 of 10. If this game were being played in Seattle on Monday night, I'd say it was 50-50 or even slightly in the Hawks' favor. But with the 9ers playing really good football right now and the game in Santa Clara, I think the 9ers should still be the favorites.
I'm looking forward to this game more than any other regular season game I can remember in recent history. Go Hawks!

I don't believe in any Prime Time effect, either on a team or an individual, one way or another. The worst play Russell has ever made while playing for us, and perhaps in his entire career, came last season on a Monday night vs. the Vikings.
If they did play better in Prime Time, then I'd suggest that they were sandbagging in the other less visible games.

Aseahawkfan wrote:I mean compared to last year. Their defense isn't near as fearsome. Their QB isn't looking like he's making progress. Their run game isn't near as scary as last year. They're ok this year, but nothing like last year when they were tearing through teams on their way to the Super Bowl. They lost three games all of last year. They've lost three games by the midpoint this year.
I agree that Russell and the Hawks have played better in Prime Time. There's no denying it. But let's assume for a minute that the Hawks are 8-0 and Russell had a perfect QBR when there was a full moon out. What would you make of that?
trents wrote:I disagree with you there, RD. It seems just the opposite to me. Once you get below the top 5 ranked teams in Division 1 college football, upsets are quite common and that's why I enjoy college ball even more than the NFL.
