Yessir! 100% agree with that!

Exactly! Been frustrating as hell hasn't it?

That's been the $64k question for all of us. It's been the most curious of situations since Pete and John took over, especially when you look at what some of the other teams have been doing to address similar problems.

I have heard that they are still looking. Anderson's name, from WFT, has come up as has Tak Mckinley. Both are on rookie contracts. Anderson is low on the WFT depth chart and hasn't really done much in the pros. He could probably be had for cheap, but I'm not sure he's a great upgrade for us. He could provide a little depth. Mckinley seems a little less likely because they don't have a GM in Atlanta yet, but he hasn't lived up to his potential either. He's maybe a little more intriguing as a pass rusher (he had the sack on RW on their first offensive play of the season), but really hasn't put it together as a pro. We need help so a conditional 7th for Anderson is OK, but I'd be a little more excited about Mckinley. Really it would depend on how the Hawks rated these guys going into the NFL. Anderson was a 2nd round pick and Mckinley was a 1st rounder. No doubt the Hawks would have scouted the heck out of them before the draft as both could have been in their range to pick, in fact Mckinley was picked 26, which the Hawks traded to Atlanta, so if they really liked him they could have picked him there... instead they picked Malik Mcdowell one spot ahead of Budda Baker.

I must really be behind the times. I didn't have a clue as to what you meant by "WFT". Did you make a typo and meant to say 'WTF'? Is it some website that I haven't heard of? I finally did a google and after sifting through the results, realized that you're talking about the Washington Football Team, aka the Redskins.

Pardon the interruption. Carry on.

No one thinks Dunlap is going to come in a get a sack a game, what we hope is a he creates a mismatch, and his experience rubs off on to the newbies.

Yeah I almost typed it out at first, but I was on my phone and being lazy. I just threw it out there hoping people would figure it out. Nice sleuthing!

Yeah, 5 sacks over 9 games would be great, but a pressure a game shouldn’t be out of the question, as long as giving the offense something to think about.

Besides Dunlap, I'm anxious to see Jamal Adams return. He was supposed to start practicing this week but didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.

Me too, we need him back out there this is a big game on Sunday. I saw that he didn’t practice Wednesday due to groin/illness. Hours before practice PC said he was going to practice so hopefully it was more illness than the groin that was keeping him out. I’ve been looking around but haven’t seen the practice report from Thursday, if he didn’t practice yesterday we’re probably looking at another week without him.

I haven't seen anything about yesterday's practice, either, which seems odd. If I stumble onto something, I'll post it in this thread.

Man, it sure seems like when a seahawk gets injured they are out for extended period, yet another player has same injury he might miss one game, I know it’s just my perception but sure seems like it..
If Adams doesn’t play this Sunday, he will have been out for a month and a half.... geez

I'm still worried it's actually a Sports Hernia and not just a groin strain.

heard Pete today address the actual injury, said it’s not hernia , that’s it’s not up in there, it was more down in leg... so take that for what it’s worth

He was "Limited" on Friday. That does mean he was at least on the field, just not participating in tackles. Looks like another game with a lot of DBacks out/hurt. We need another bye week. Maybe we see Snacks this week. Not sure about Dunlop. They have so many new 1 year rules.

No Dunlap, he has to have like 6 days of negative tests before he can practice. Yeah we are going to be hurting in the secondary, not good.

I was thinking I heard that too, about the 6 days, but he was on an active roster with Cincy, so you would assume he was tested every day like all the other players in the league, but that's up the new NFL Covid rules. He's on the roster at Seahawks.com, so I guess he would be 'inactive' this Sunday.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing... if you are on another team you are tested everyday so why would it matter. One of those things that doesn’t make a ton of sense. I do remember reading the Titans outbreak started with a guy they signed to the practice squad who tested positive a few days after he was signed and he had been practicing, but I don’t know if he was on another team before he was signed or not.

It might be the travel through airports and such where a player could contract the virus.
The NFL has to be careful wherever they can.

Could be, but the Hawks could send a private jet!

Private Jet? That would be pretty cool. Maybe if it was JJ Watt instead of Dunlap. Something tells me the 'Corporate' bean-counter would not look to highly on that.

Didn't Paul Allen send his private jet to pick up Peyton Manning and bring him to Seattle for an interview?

According to PFT, Dunlap reworked his contract as part of being traded to Seattle.
Saves us some Cap room this year.
